A First

There are not that many firsts in life at this stage. At the age of 58, I am creating my first blog. Tomorrow, I will vote, then go to the hospital where I have spent much time visiting my husband after his quadruple bypass surgery the past couple of weeks. He is home now and doing nicely. But tomorrow when I go to the hospital, it will be for a joyous occasion: The birth of our second grandchild. Here we are the generation of baby boomers, moving as a giant bloc into retirement years. And our children, (or in my case, stepchildren) are moving through the childbearing and rearing years. Generation after generation, like a giant conveyor belt. And where will you go, when your time comes? When the conveyor belt dumps you? I did a painting on the subject, called "Eternity in Our Hearts". You can see it on my website www.LeeHodgesArt.com
I am putting all my eggs in one basket: Jesus Christ. I plan to do a painting on that theme. Will let you know.

Here is another first - the first comment on your blog. I need one of these! Great stuff. Love the eggs in Jesus basket image - something brewing I think!
